Membership Benefits
- A full programme of speaker talks and annual Guild Day. Held in Arbury (North Cambridge).
- Guild library (the catalogue is in a password-protected area). Access it at Arbury meetings. Small fee.
- Hire of Guild equipment including a Brinkley loom, marudai, multi-shaft table looms, a rigid-heddle loom, spinning wheel and a warping board. A returnable deposit and hire fee are charged. The equipment must be returned in the same condition – volunteers need to check it. See the programme leaflet for more details.
- Opportunity to join two study groups: Textile Traditions (included in membership) and Come and Weave (additional fee – see below).
- Opportunity to join practical workshops, usually for an additional fee and sometimes balloted places. Most are held in Comberton (Cambs). See programme.
- Opportunity to take part in Guild exhibitions, which are held in Grantchester (Cambs) every three years.
Membership costs 2026 (from January):
- Annual Membership fee of £30 (£15 students/JSA/Income Support).
- + £12 to attend Come and Weave days.
If you would like to become a member of the guild, please print a membership form 2026 and post it to the Membership Secretary (address on the form). Or bring it to a meeting. Payment details are on the form.
