Weave! – A course for beginners and improvers

Classroom based learning over two full weekends, with a table loom available for every participant to use for the duration, some of the looms are 4 shaft, some are 8 shaft. These looms will be threaded ready for you to get weaving straight away. You are welcome to bring your own loom if you would prefer, if you would like to do this please let the course tutor Suzanne know as soon as possible via the Guild secretary.

During the course, there will be an opportunity to dress a loom from scratch.

Dates: 7th and 8th November and 14 and 15 November 2015

10 – 4 pm in Fulbourn

Cost: £220 including yarns.  £60 deposit payable at time of booking, balance due 2 months prior to the course ie 1 September 2015

Deposit is refundable if cancelling before 1 September.  Fees are not refundable after the final balance has been paid except in exceptional circumstances.

Minimum number on the course is 5, maximum 10.  If there are insufficient numbers the course would be cancelled, and in this situation all monies would be refunded.

The looms used for the course are a mixture of Guild owned and Guild members own property.  The looms cannot be taken away for the week between the course weekend dates.

If participants wish to hire a Guild owned loom after the course, they must become a full Guild member (£27), pay a deposit of £25 and rental is £10 per month.  Looms that are the personal property of members are not for hire.

You are welcome to bring your own loom (warped in readiness on advice from the course tutor), please make this clear on the booking form and discuss with the course tutor in advance.
