Madder of Fact: horticulture & historic recipes for seeing red
April 28 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
All welcome at our next meeting with a talk from Susan Dye: “Madder of Fact: Horticulture and Historic Recipes for Seeing Red”. Each year Susan Dye grows three of the Medieval ‘Grand Teint’ dye plants on her allotment and after many years experimenting with both growing and dyeing methods now teaches and produces cloth dyed naturally with brilliant fast colours. Enjoy and learn from her experiences with ‘the other’ East Anglian historic dye crop: madder.
